2009 Excellence in Manufacturing Recruitment Awards

The last 20 months or so haven't been kind to some economic developers in the South or their clients: prospective industry wishing to expand and grow in the region. There have been more than a dozen or so large manufacturing projects announced in the South since the recession began in December of 2007 that have either been delayed, shelved or built, but not opened for business as of yet.

That being the case, we wanted to show our readers that there are indeed many high-profile manufacturing projects that have been announced since December of 2007 in the South that are moving forward at a fast pace despite the economic downturn. We proudly present our 1st annual "Excellence in Manufacturing Recruitment Awards." This recognition includes the company, location, economic impact and the economic development organizations that helped make the projects a reality.
